Words of the Elected Presidents

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Our Lord Jesus Christ:

We thank God that through you, He has chosen us to serve Him. This time as World Presidents of the ICCFM. Thank you for your confidence.

In the same manner as the apostles, we have to convey the Good News to every place the Lord takes us. We are aware of the situations of injustice, poverty and pain in which many of our brothers live in all continents. Something has to be done. We cannot just cross our arms as simple spectators, waiting for others to act and allowing the sects and the clericalism to continue growing before our indifference. A Christian is a man of faith and hope; he is dynamic and, with the grace of the Holy Spirit, is not afraid to proclaim that Jesus lives, that He is among us and gives us the strength to convey His message, His project of life and humanization every where.

We make ours the words of John Paul II when he stated: “Today more than ever, we need to understand these words of the Risen Christ: Do not be afraid.” It is a necessity for the man of today… who does not stop being afraid interiorly and not without reason. It is likewise a necessity for all the people and all nations of the world. It is necessary to strengthen in the conscience of each human being the certainty that there is …One who has in His hands the future of the world to come; One who has the Keys of Death and of Hades (Revelations 1,18); One who is the Alpha and the Omega of the history of mankind (Revelations 22,13)being its individual or collective; and most of all the certainty that this One is LOVE. LOVE made man, LOVE crucified and is risen, LOVE always present among men. Jesus is the Eucharistic Love. The inexhaustible fountain of communion, He is the only one we can openly believe when He asks us: “Do not be afraid!”

Brother and Sisters, it is very important to know where we are working, how we really stand and how many we are in each continent, in order to make a reality the objective of the Confederation to promote, empower, and help the Christian Family Movements; so that their members may live their human and Christian vocation. That they be witnesses of the family essential values based on the faith proclaimed by the Gospel and strengthened by the Catholic Church Teachings. In this manner, we will be able to support the expansion of the Christian Family Movement in the countries where it is established and try to create it where it does not exist. How shall we do it? With the help of each and everyone, reinforcing and intensifying in the programs of formation The Confederation needs that its members know Christ, love Him and serve Him. He is the way and we need to show it to the rest; and although He, Himself, can do it, He prefers to count on each one of us.

We would like to meet with the Presidents of all the Continents so that together we may adequately plan our programs.

We conclude by asking the help and inspiring force of the Holy Spirit, since with God everything is possible. May He fill your hearts with peace and joy so that together we may fulfill the mission He has placed in our hands today.

We love you dearly. Thank you.
