CFM IN AUSTRALIA

CFM in Victoria, Australia had its beginning on the 11th March 1992 resulting from a visit of Monsignor Charles G. Vella, the present International Chaplain of ICCFM, and is still going strong. Groups of families are meeting regularly and attendance of members is very encouraging. Discussions that concern the life of married couples and their children take place. Also reflections are made on the teaching of the Catholic Church that talk about Marriage and Family, Education of children, Catholic schooling, and the preparation of Marriage.

Hard work is being done to spread the Movement and CFM members have high hopes that one day their dreams come true.

Special Activities

In April 2000, CFM members in Australia took part in the National Family Gathering Programme. This was organised by different family groups in Australia, (held in Melbourne).

In July 2001, CFM took part in a three day conference which ended with the formal opening and blessing of John Paul 2 Institute for "Marriage and Family", by Alfonso Cardinal Lopez Trujillo.
